All on Four Dental Implants
for Complete Restoration

Patients who are missing all or most of their teeth may be good candidates for All-on-4 Dental Implants, an innovative implant procedure that returns patients back to having a full smile using four strategically placed dental implants which are designed to support an entire arch or lower and upper jaw of teeth. This procedure is especially popular for patients who are frustrated with the feel, maintenance, and limitations of dentures and/or who have been told they are not viable candidates for traditional dental implants due to bone loss.

Prior to All-on-4, patients who wanted to have a full arch replaced would either need to have dentures, or require having six to ten implants placed in order to provide sufficient support. All-on-4 Dental Implants reduces the number of implants to four by strategically placing the implants in strategic locations in the jaw, with two anterior implants placed upright, and two posterior implants placed at a 45-degree angle. By placing these implants at this angle, your dentist can avoid hitting the nerve canal and sinus cavities and the strength of your implant support is optimized. With the implants properly positioned, the bridge can be placed and patients can return to a normal, healthy, fully functioning smile.

Aftercare for All-on-4 Dental Implants

Following the placement of All-on-4 dental implants, you will need to follow a soft food diet to avoid putting pressure on your teeth and jawbone, slowly reintroducing harder foods over time. Recovery time will be different for every patient, but many patients are able to return to a normal diet within six weeks of the procedure. During this recovery period, it is also common to experience bleeding, which can typically be stopped using gauze pads. Swelling and mild discomfort are also common, but can generally be managed with ice packs and over-the-counter pain relieving medication, or in some cases prescription medication, which should be taken as directed.

Once you have fully healed, it will not be necessary to continue any post-procedural modified self-care, although it is important to consistently follow good oral hygiene practices. In addition to brushing and flossing twice daily (at a minimum), be mindful of the types of food and beverages you consume, and avoid foods or substances that can negatively impact your oral health (chewing tobacco, staining foods, sugary drinks). It is equally important to schedule regular dental cleanings every six months, or more frequently, depending upon your unique oral health needs. If you follow these general guidelines, you will maximize the longevity of your All-on-4 dental implants and enjoy a healthy smile for many years to come!

All-on-4 Implants Cost
& Dental Insurance

The cost of having All-on-4 Dental Implants will depend upon the length of the procedure, what materials are used, and what insurance coverage from your dental plan can be applied. It is important to be aware that you are fully responsible for all fees of treatment, and payment is due at the time of service, regardless of your insurance coverage. Monthly payment plans can be arranged, but this will need to be accomplished prior to the procedure being performed. Although we will not have a contractual arrangement with your provider, our staff is happy to assist with processing your insurance claim to ensure that you maximize your benefits and receive the high-quality care you need and deserve. For your convenience, we accept Mastercard, Visa and Discover.
